Please join Community Partnership's Lynmore Estates/South Macon collaborative on Thursday, May 1 at 3:00 pm as we welcome special guest speaker Carol Wilson. Carol is a consultant for Georgia Family Connection Partnership who has helped implement an Early Childhood and Economic Development strategy in several Georgia counties.
Carol will show how investment in families with young children leads to success for the overall economy, and share the collaborative programs and partnerships that have resulted in building stronger families and stronger communities in five Georgia counties. This strategy is one that may be considered by the Bibb County collaborative as it moves forward with strategic planning in Lynmore Estates and South Macon, and has the potential to create a significant economic impact in Bibb County.
The Early Childhood and Economic Development strategy serves not only young children, but takes a holistic approach to strengthening targeted families by serving all members of the family, at any age. Therefore, all of our partners, current and forthcoming, would have an important role to play in this strategy, regardless of whether they directly serve young children. Participants will also benefit from this presentation by learning to view and define social and community work in economic terms.
